About the Author
Fabian Kern aka Fabzgy was born in Leimen, Germany. Rose up in a tiny village with 900+ inhabitants somewhere in the south-west of Germany.
On the age of 19, he left his cosy village to explore more of the world. He moved to Freiburg to do his civilian service. Around this time he discovered the world of the Hospitality Exhange Comunities and hitchhhiking.
After the civilian service he backpacked five in Southamerica. Afterwards he started to study Anthropology, Sociology and History at the University in Freiburg. In 2007 he studied one semester at the University of Basel, Switzerland and from July 2007 he studied in Costa Rica for one year.
Since October 2008 he is back in Freiburg, Germany where he keeps searching…
He speaks fluently German, English and Spanisch.
He is a Volunteer for BeWelcome and member of BeVolunteer, he writes on several wikis like Hitchwiki, Wikipedia, Wikitravel and publishes articles on Indymedia.
