About the Author
Fabian Kern aka Fabzgy was born in Leimen, Germany. Rose up in a tiny village with 900+ inhabitants somewhere in the south-west of Germany.
On the age of 19, he left his cosy village to explore more of the world. He moved to Freiburg to do his civilian service. Around this time he discovered the world of the Hospitality Exhange Comunities and hitchhhiking.
After the civilian service he backpacked five in Southamerica. Afterwards he started to study Anthropology, Sociology and History at the University in Freiburg. In 2007 he studied one semester at the University of Basel, Switzerland and in July 2007 he moved to Costa Rica where he lives and studies right now.
He speaks German, English, Espanol fluent and has basic French knowledge.
He is a Volunteer for BeWelcome and member of BeVolunteer, he writes on several wikis like Hitchwiki, Wikipedia, Wikitravel and publishes articles in german on Indymedia.
