Fabian Kern aka Fabzgy was born in mid 80s in Germany. Rose up in a tiny village with 900+ inhabitants somewhere in the south-west of Germany.
On the age of 19, he left his cosy village to explore more of the world. He moved to Freiburg to do his civilian service. Around this time he discovered the world of the Hospitality Exhange Comunities and hitchhhiking.
After the civilian service he backpacked five months in Southamerica and Cuba. Afterwards he started to study Anthropology, Sociology and History at the University in Freiburg. In 2007 he studied one semester at the University of Basel, Switzerland and from July 2007 he studied in Costa Rica for one year and went back there for 6 month in 2009.
At the moment he is back in central Europe following his path towards . . .
He speaks fluently German, English and Spanish.
He is a Volunteer for BeWelcome and member of BeVolunteer, he writes on several wikis like Hitchwiki, Wikipedia, Wikitravel and publishes articles on Indymedia and POONAL. Along the way he is producing radio programmes for Radio Dreyeckland.
In december 2009 he became a member of the cooperative society “Energie in Bürgerhand” and in June 2010 of “BürgerEnergiegenossenschaft Teningen“.

It was really nice meeting you. I hope everything is going well. Send me some pics when you can. I’m back in Chicago and quite sad about it. Leaving Costa Rica was not an easy task.
